Afternoon

We took our Christmas tree down today. :(

This was our first Christmas with a live tree in a few years.

We loved the smell of the tree, how it looked and everything!

But it left a trail of pine needles from where it stood in our front room out to the backyard.

I tried to take a picture of the trail from the front door out to the back...

Steve is off on his annual camping trip with his brothers.

I packed all his food and stuff for him...

V. and I got had a mother-daughter pedi at the spa.

We needed to get our toes summer ready, and more importantly, ready for

the California sun!

That's right, we are heading to Cali. in a few days!!!!

Sunday, April 24th

My parents had an egg hunt and Easter dinner at their house.

My dad remarried 9 years ago, 2 years after my mom passed away.

 So there are now 13 of us kids and 35+ grandkids!

Family get togethers are crazy but fun!

This is my dad with just a few of his grand-daughters.

We celebrated her 2nd birthday at my parents house.

Saturday & Sunday, April 2nd-3rd

We spent the weekend watching and listening to

our chuch's General Conference.

A time to hear our Prophet and other church leaders speak to us.

Evening

It being fat Tuesday and all, I decided to try to make traditional Polish Paczki.

Steve served in the Warsaw, Poland mission. He talks about how they ate these all the time.

I asked him how I did in trying to recreate these.

He said...."You did okay."

Guess I need to keep trying to get just the right taste down!
